Which is more difficult between translation English to Thai or Thai to English?
In my opinion, I think interpreting from Thai to English is more difficult than interpreting from English to Thai.
Because there are many suffixes in verse in Thai language, so I don't know how to cut it off and make the sentence short and on the point.
And some words in Thai, I don't know those words in English.
How about you? Do you have any idea about this?

Re: Which is more difficult between translation English to Thai or Thai to English?
The hardest thing for me of translating is from Thai to English. Because some Thai words are so difficult to translate into English such the words for the King or monk. I sometimes use the words to describe about those words when I notice that I couldn't find the word that I have to translate.

Re: Which is more difficult between translation English to Thai or Thai to English?
They are both difficult.
1. English to Thai; Even though, I understand English text clearly, I find it difficult to find Thai words to make my translation beautifully.
2.Thai to English; It is difficult because I am not expert on English grammar naturally.
Although translation is difficult, it's challenging.

Translate Thai to English is difficult. Surely, I am Thai.
I am not professional of English grammar or vocabularies.
By the way, I think it depends on the content.

Re: Which is more difficult between translation English to Thai or Thai to English?
Translation from English to Thai does not need English speaking skill. For instance, If one understands the keyword and main idea of the utterance, he/she can, of course, translate successfully (Because all is in Thai).
In the other hand, translation for Thai to English might concern those who lack English speaking skill. The translator least must be able to speak communicate in English.

Re: Which is more difficult between translation English to Thai or Thai to English?
Translate Thai to English is very difficult for me specially in academic paper. Sometimes, Thai language is hard to separate the sentence. Because It doesn't have a full stop or any symbols which help us to separate sentences. This problem can lead to misunderstand a content of paper. Moreover, It's hard to find English words to explain what does the text says. This is my point of this question. I hope I'll improve myself much more in order to become a good translator.

For me, translate Thai to English is very difficult. Especially, translate them into formal language. I think it is hard that I must find the word in high level to translate and the specialized vocabulary to translate.

Re: Which is more difficult between translation English to Thai or Thai to English?
For me, translation from Thai to English is so much more difficult than a translation from
English to Thai. It's more difficult because you don't know the meaning of that Thai word.
When I was in the exam room. I needed to translate Thai to Thai before translated it to
English. Poor me.

Based on my experiences, I think translation from Thai to English is more difficult than translation from English to Thai because Thai language has many levels of vocabulary that are hard too to make a comprehension for me.

My reason is the Thai language has concepts that English does not have.

In my opinion, translating Thai to English is more difficult.
Because of a small amount of vocabulary in my head, I always get in trouble when I have to translate. Moreover, we have to consider about tenses. It makes the translation more complicated.

I think translate from English to Thai.
From Thai to English we can create the words by ourselves, but translate from English to Thai we can not translate to any word if we don't understand the words exactly.

Re: Which is more difficult between translation English to Thai or Thai to English?
I think translation Thai to English because Thai language has a lot of suffix words.
So, it's hard to cut these words and write in the perfect English sentence.
I take a long time to make sure and compare between Thai and English.

Re: Which is more difficult between translation English to Thai or Thai to English?
I think translation English to Thai is harder than Thai to English. Thai language has complex words that I cannot make my translations look good. There are many ways to use Thai words, so it is so hard although I am Thai. I had ever translated English to Thai, I used so long time to do it. Then I have never done translation again.
