Well, I personally will repeat the word silently again and again in my head, and I will try to make a few sentences with the word in connection with things around me so that I can remember its meaning, collocation, and syntactic usages.
However, I still sometimes find myself struggle to remember words. I am therefore also here to learn you guy's strategies.

For me, I will apply the new words in my daily life.
For example, when I speak English with my friends and foreign teacher, I will bring the new word to speak out.
In addition, in writing skill, while I am writing English essay, I will use the new word instead of the old word.
These words can make the story interesting.
I'm a kind of person who remember a new word by writing.

This question is really good. This is the way I remember the new glossary!
When I know the new words that I've never seen it before in this life, I try to speak it out and repeat it everyday til I can remember it.
In addition, I like to create the sentences that include my new vocabulary.

However, have you ever experienced forgetting new words although I had used the strategy to remember them?

I think a repetition should work. I've got to see it again and again for 8 times in order to memorise it.  Moreover, the appearance of the vocaulary needs to be in several forms rather than one. For instance, I read many books and find new vocabulary everyday, still, I can't remember the meanings. That's because the vocabulary's form is only in a text; it has no sound or picture. In the other hand, when I watch a film and hear a new vocabulary, I can memorise it even easier and longer for the appearance of the vocabulary is sound and animation. It relates to our real experience.

I heard it from Ajarn Pilanuch. She said that, according to some research, we needed to encounter a word at least 8 times in order to remember it.
However, do you think it is possible that we can remember a new word although we do not encounter it 8 times?

For me, I have to read or watch something in the real context. It is quite hard to remember like in the past that I have to read a ton of words without context. If I do like that I can't recall because it is not good for long term memory. And I suggest you to read book or watch something or some vocabulary with the real context. Moreover you can use this technique for your student in teaching fir your future career.

The more I see words, the faster I can remember.
So, try to read books as much as I can so that I have more chance to see the words that I have learn. 
Then I will gradually remember how to spell, and the meaning of each word.

I remember English words by using that word frequently.
Look at that word more than 5 times.
The more times you see a word the more easily you will remember it.
Use new words.
You need to use a new word about ten times before you remember it.
