For me, I have never been bitten by a leech, but I used to see my elder sister's leg was bitten by a leech since I was 10.
In the past, the football field in my village was flooded. So, I swam with my elder sister.
After she was bitten by a leech, she told me that it hurt a lot and be careful when swimming.

I have ever seen people in countryside keep it to smoke on the fireplace for selling. The price of the smoked leech is about 1,000 bath per one kilogram. If you interested in this job, you can try. For me, my answer will always be "NO".

No, I have not been bitten by a leech, and I would like to thank god for that! Just imagination of being bitten by a leech makes me goosebumps, I really hate it. I think leeches are kind of disgusting animals due to their body shape and their moist and sticky skin. I am extremely careful when I have to walk in the shallow parts of the ponds or rivers to make sure that there is no leech biting me.
