I think even though we tell them to know about the advantages of drinking, they’re not going to quit it anyway. It would be better if you tell the loved one of you by giving the condition to them. “If you quit, I give you...” But for others, I have no idea.

You have to find out if there’s a reason they’re drinking, and let them know how do you feel when they drink. Ultimately, its up to them. If they won’t stop, and you can’t deal with it, find new people to hang around. Its their choice, and you’re only making yourself miserable worrying about them.

I have experience about it because my dad was alcoholic person.
When I was younger, I tried many times to tell him that you should stop drinking alcohol but he didn't. I pointed out the disadvantages of alcohol but it didn't work. I think the alcoholic people know the disadvantages of alcohol but they can't get rid out of it. Finally, I said that if you want to see my success, you have to stop drinking alcohol. In the future, I had to spend so much money for studying in university so you had to be healthy for working and for my graduation ceremony. After that my dad stopped drinking alcohol forever.
For your question, I would like to suggest that you should talk with the alcoholic that what he wants. If he wants to be healthy for you, he will stop by himself.

They will quit for their health.Alcoholism is not good for everybody.
It doesn't show in that moment but it must use a long time.
